Our first Sustainability Summary

A journey that began long ago

With the publication of our first Sustainability Summary, we are sharing a journey that has involved the whole of Barni. We started from an impartial analysis of our organisation, engaged with our main stakeholders and defined concrete objectives that will guide our choices over the coming years.

This document is not an end point, but tangible proof of our commitment to making our development more transparent, more responsible and more future-oriented.

Where we started from

The pre-assessment allowed us to look at the company through external eyes and to understand where we stood in relation to the sustainability practices of our sector. It was the starting point for taking informed decisions and defining a realistic path, without taking anything for granted.

The priorities we have chosen

We identified the SDGs most consistent with the way we operate, and translated them into the foundations of our business model: key activities, growth objectives and first actions to be integrated into the day-to-day management of the company.

Engaging with our stakeholders

We involved our main stakeholders in a structured dialogue.

Their contributions, collected through specific questionnaires, guided the assessment of the priority topics for the company and highlighted expectations, critical issues and opportunities to be turned into concrete commitments.
This dialogue gave value to the journey and defined its direction.

Our sustainability roadmap

From the mapping of the activities carried out to the first set of measurable objectives, the journey led to the construction of our Strategic Sustainability Plan, a tool that guides decisions and investments in the short, medium and long term.

The Sustainability Summary collects these steps and makes them public.

The journey has begun: now we continue to build it

Sharing it is an act of transparency, but above all a commitment to those who work with us and to the area in which we operate.
